Is there a transfer service?

RIU Hotels & Resorts cooperate with some international transfer companies in order offering you an easy and fast way to arrive to our hotels. This service is available in the following destinies: Aruba, Mexico, Republica Dominicana, Jamaica, Costa Rica and Bahamas.

How does the transfer service works?

Riu Hotels & Resorts works with professional transfer companies in order to make easier your arrival, without needing looking for a taxi or another vehicle. The transfer are from the closest airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the closest airport. This service is available in some destinies and you can request it when reservation your room in www.riu.com or calling the Reservation Center.

These are the companies we cooperate with, each one has a different rate in each different destiny:

  • México: HOTELBEDS
  • México (Mazatlán): VIAJES EL SÁBALO
  • República Dominicana: HOTELBEDS 
  • Costa Rica: SWISS TRAVEL

At your arrival to the airport an identified RIU Hotels & Resorts representative will wait for you in the main door of your arrival terminal. You should know that this is not a private service, so there is a maximmum of 45 minutes waiting time. If you find not our representative at your arrival, you should go as soon as possible to the company office in the airport. The contact data and phones are in you confirmation transfer voucher.

How can I request the transfer service?

At the last step of your reservation in www.riu.com, you will find a section where you can request the transfer service and inform about your flight details. Each destiny has each own rate including round trip. Finishing your reservation you will receive at your e-mail, the transfer document confirmation and all the information about the company and the timetable. If you already reserved your room and you need to request the transfers, please contact our Reservation Center and request it by phone.

Can I cancel or modify the transfer services?

Once the transfer is reserved, if you need to make some modification or cancel your reservation you must contact the transfer company. The service can not be guaranteed if the flight changes are not communicated at least 4 days before the arrival. You can find all the information and contacts in the confirmation document you receive by e-mail. If you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact our Reservation Center.
